Privacy Policy

Tandemly ("we," "us") makes a short assessment that helps two partners see where they align on a big shared decision. This page explains what we collect, why, and who else touches it. Questions or requests: hello@tandemlyus.com.

What we collect

• The first name or nickname each of you enters.
• An optional short description of the decision you're facing (e.g. "moving in together").
• Your answers to the assessment questions across areas like money, kids, chores, tidiness, personal space, career, and affection — plus any custom topic you add.
• Optional private free-text notes you write to add context to your answers.
• An email address, only if you choose to save one so we can send you the link back to your results.
• Optional feedback you give us on the wrap-up screen.

There are no accounts or passwords. You and your partner are each recognized by a private link and a browser cookie tied to it, not a login.

How we use it

• To score and build the shared alignment map you and your partner see once you've both finished.
• To generate the personalized written reflection and conversation guide on your results.
• To email you a link back to your results, only if you opted in.
• To understand, in aggregate, how people use Tandemly so we can improve it.

Nothing you write is shared between partners until you've both finished the assessment, so your answers never influence each other.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of vendors to run Tandemly. None of them may use your data for their own purposes.

• Anthropic — to write your personalized reflection and conversation guide, we send Anthropic's AI models your first names, your decision context, your alignment results, and any free-text notes you wrote. This is the one place your written notes leave our database.
• PostHog — anonymous product-analytics events (for example, "assessment started" or "invite link copied"), tied to an anonymous browser identifier. PostHog never receives your name, email, or answers.
• Resend — sends the results-link email, and only ever sees the email address you save for that purpose.
• Supabase — hosts our database. Your data is protected so only Tandemly's server can read or write it; it is never public.

We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Since there's no account to close, we keep your results until you ask us to remove them, so you and your partner can return to your map any time. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@tandemlyus.com; we'll remove it within a reasonable time.

Your choices

• Saving your email is always optional and never required to see your results.
• You can ask us what data we hold about you, or to delete or export it, any time.
• Anyone with your private results link can view it, so keep it as you would any personal document.

Children

Tandemly is intended for adults 18 and older, and isn't directed to children.

Changes to this policy

If we make a meaningful change to how we handle your data, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
